Our Yom Kippur experiential learning providies members and guests with unique programs and opportunities for learning and growth on Yom Kippur afternoon is an established tradition at B’nai Havurah.  You are warmly welcomed to participate in one, two, or all three of our course offerings!  Class locations will be posted in the lobby of the church.  There is no cost for members or guests of B’nai Havurah.

The Circumcised Heart with Pat Madsen

One of the parashot we read on Yom Kippur (Nitzavim) says that “God will
circumcise your heart and the hearts of your seed.”  Deut 30:6.  Let’s talk about what it might mean to have a circumcised heart.

Facilitator:  Pat Madsen, a B’nai Havurah member for the better part of 30 years, has written liturgy, studied for a master’s in Judaic Studies, helped plan many JWRC/Kol Nashim Women’s Retreats, sat as a judge, practiced law, acted in local theaters, read more than is necessary, and taught at the Denver Institute for Jewish Studies.
