THE SEDER MEAL and POTLUCK SELECTION
To honor the communal nature of our Seder, we request that each family bring a potluck dish to share. With the exception of one or two dishes, we ask that your dish serve 12 adults. Please label your dish and indicate if the dish is gluten-free.
Because we are serving meat at this Seder, we request that no dishes contain dairy products, including cheese, milk, and butter. Dishes with fish, eggs, fruits and vegetables may be eaten with meat and are fine to bring to this Seder.
In addition, we ask that at the Seder, all dishes be prepared in accordance with generally accepted dietary laws for Passover:
During Passover, Jews refrain from eating chometz: anything that contains barley, wheat, rye, oats, and spelt . Please check ingredients carefully. For instance, white vinegar contains wheat. Fruits, vegetables and gluten free foods are always a safe choice! No *leavening is allowed. This signifies the fact that the Hebrews had no time to let their bread rise as they made a hurried escape from Egypt.
Below, p lease select the dish you would like to bring. We will have use of a stove, an oven and hot plates, but if you might bring your own hotplate or crock pot, that would be most helpful.
The website, below has several very nice Passover recipes for you to use, if you wish!
