Reggae Shabbat followed by Caribbean-Themed Potluck

Friday, March 29, 2019 22 Adar II 5779

6:30 PM - 8:30 PMB'nai Havurah

The themes of reggae music - freedom, liberation, and redemption --resonate with Jewish history and traditions.  This month, B'nai Havurah's Kabbalat Shabbat Experience will focus on the songs of Bob Marley and other reggae artists to express these themes.

Join Rabbi Evette Lutman, music director Hal Aqua, and members of The Lost Tribe at 6:30 pm for a joyous songfest that leads us into Shabbat.

The reggae service is followed by dinner at 7:30 pm -- a Caribbean-themed potluck. Need some idea? Try this webpage, provided by the Vegetarian Times - the Cuban-Style Black Beans with Rice and Plantains looks delicious!

Please let us know you are planning to stay for the potluck by registering below. If you know what you plan to bring to the potluck, please indicate that in the notes. We ask that all contributions feed 6-8 adults and align with our dairy-kosher policy (no meat or shellfish, but fish is excellent). If you would instead make a donation toward the potluck or assist with setup or cleanup, no potluck contribution (food or cash) is necessary!

Sorry, Registration has ended.
