Join our amazing team for short, joyous, kid-centered services and programs throughout the holiday season which will engage children and their grownups with song, story, and hands-on ritual practice. Bring your family and friends!

Childcare and programming will be provided during:

  • Erev Rosh Hashanah:  Monday, September 22 at 7:00 pm
  • Rosh Hashanah Day 1:  Tuesday, September 23 at 9:30 am
  • Kol Nidre: Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00 pm
  • Yom Kippur: Saturday, October 2th during these programs:  
    • Morning Service, 9:30 am 
    • Healing Service, 4:30 pm
    • Yizkor/Memorial Service, 5:30 pm

Family Service in the Park

Saturday, September 27th at 10:00 AM
In person at Platt Park (1500 S. Logan St.)

Celebrate the Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with an outdoor service at Platt Park. The all-ages service will be informal and welcoming, with singing, movement exercises, storytelling, and fun. BYO folding chair or blanket. 

Jonah Skit

Thursday, October 2nd during the Yom Kippur morning service
B'nai West (1700 S. Grant St.)

Our Yom Kippur morning children's program will highlight the preparation of a dramatic skit of the story of Jonah that will be performed in our main service. The childcare program will also include singing, storytelling, snacks, and crafts. 
 

Sukkah Build and Interfaith All Ages Gathering

Sunday, October 5th (time TBD)
B'nai West (1700 S. Grant Street)

Celebrate the joyous festival of Sukkot with a short service, along with congregants and leaders from Highlands Church. The Sukkah gathering will be followed by a delish lunch. 
 

All Ages Sukkot Gathering with Edible Sukkah-building

Sunday, October 12th at 4 pm, prayers at 5 pm
Member's home, Register for location

Celebrate Sukkot in the home of a member with some short prayers, a lot of schmoozing, and a great space for kids to play in. We will also have an edible sukkah activity for kids! 
 

Simchat Torah: Dancing with the Torah and Dinner

Tuesday, October 14th at 6 pm

Celebrate the holiday of Simchat Torah with a chance to dance with the sacred scroll, reflect on the year of Torah behind us and what's ahead- all followed by a dinner!
