6:30 PM - 8:00 PMPicnic Shelter near the Playground at Cook Park: Mexico and Monaco

Shabbat in the Hood is back and we couldn't be happier!

Please note: We may need to bring Shabbat in the Hood Indoors to B'nai Havurah. We will make a final decision about this by 2:00 pm. All those who have registered by that time will receive an email confirming the location for Shabbat in the Hood. Whether indoors at B'nai or outside at Sally and Tom Stich's home, we hope to see you!

Registration is still being accepted, below.

After a potluck dinner, we'll have a short informal musical service that will include an opportunity for mourner's kaddish.

Entering its ninth year, Shabbat in the Hood is the perfect Friday evening for members and friends seeking community in an informal and congenial outdoor setting. Members open their backyards for a potluck-style dinner with a little Shabbat ruach (spirit), music and fun. The evenings begin at 6:30 pm and usually conclude at about 8:00 pm.

Potluck assignments by last name:
A to E - Desserts
F to R - Main dish
S to Z - Side dish (pasta salad, fruit salad, grain salads, bean salads, etc.)

We ask that potluck dishes serve 6 - 8 people and be dairy, vegan, vegetarian, or fish (not shellfish).

Members and guests of all ages are warmly welcomed. We ask that adults be vaccinated. For our safety, we will release Tom and Sally's address one or two days prior to Shabbat in the Hood only to those who have registered.

For this  Shabbat in the Hood, please bring a lawn chair (if you have one) and a blanket for sitting on the grass (if you wish). A warm jacket is suggested.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
