Thursday, September 12, 2024 9 Elul 5784

7:00 PM - 8:30 PMIn Person at B'nai East (6445 E. Ohio Ave.)

What does it mean to be safe? How do our different life experiences and identities shape feelings and experiences of safety and danger? Disturbing happenings around the world, on campuses, and even several incidents at B’nai Havurah have heightened fears and concerns about safety. What are those concerns and how should we respond as a community to this moment? Join the members of Havurah B’kavod Jose Diaz for a community discussion where we will gain a deeper understanding about what makes us feel and actually be safe, while continuing to create a welcoming and inclusive congregation.

While practical ideas may arise, this discussion is not intended to plan security policies or strategies.  If you are interested in offering suggestions or volunteering to be part of the Security Committee, please contact the B'nai office.

Light dessert refreshments will be provided
