10:00 AM - 11:30 AMIn person only, B’nai East (6445 Ohio Ave, Denver)Come hear about Reconstructing Judaism’s trip to the American South this past March. On this Pilgrimage of Racial Reckoning, over 200 people from all over the country visited sites related to the civil rights movement and contemporary racial justice work. It was a powerful and heartbreaking experience to confront the painful history and the ongoing injustice and suffering that flow from it. Yet the trip was hopeful, inspiring and even joyful as we took strength from the victories of the past and committed ourselves to the work in our moment.
Join the travelers from Colorado as we present highlights and lessons from our experience and consider ways to bring the work forward in our local communities.
