Janet and her son traveled in Israel on year ago. It was an 8 day tour with a private guide. They went to Caesarea, the Golan Heights, Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Dead Sea and Masada. 

Join us, during this time of restricted travel,
for an armchair tour of Israel!

Janet Tamaren is a retired family doctor. She grew up in Cleveland Ohio, in the middle of a Jewish neighborhood. Her mother’s family lived nearby and all spoke Yiddish to each other. They had left Czechoslovakia in the 20’s and 30’s, seeking in the New World the streets paved with gold that were promised to them.

She went to school at Brandeis University and moved to Denver in 1970. She moved to Kentucky in 1984, and stayed for 29 years. She and her husband returned to Denver in 2013, for the birth of their first grandchild.  Her grandson is 8 years old and her grand-daughter is 5.

Her first trip to Israel was in 1995. It was a very short trip, taken during a tense time for the State, during the Infitada. She reports that this trip was much more relaxed.
