Thursday, November 30, 2023 17 Kislev 5784

1:00 PM - 2:30 PMIn person at B'nai East (6445 E. Ohio Ave)

Following the Chachamim program in January many people expressed interest in continuing discussions on the many issues related to growing older or caring for someone who is.  Continued conversations around these topics will happen on every fourth Thursday of the month. Participants will set the agenda for each gathering.

Conversations on Aging: Let's Talk Gender
with Hannah Niederman

There are many things going on in the world right now, but gender seems to be an ever- evolving part of many of our lives.  2023 conversations about gender differ so greatly from those that came before them, and it can feel overwhelming to navigate this new topic, especially for people from an earlier generation. Whether we have friends, grandkids, partners, or community members we know who are transitioning- there are always things we may not know how to navigate or ask about. This conversation is meant to be a judgement-free space to establish understanding, voice our struggles, and work through challenges on the topic of gender.

Hannah (they/them) is one of the newest employees of B'nai Havurah and serves as the Youth and Family Community Organizer. They have been having conversations about queerness and gender for their whole lives, and majored in Political Science and Gender and Sexuality Studies at St. Olaf College. When they're not in their craft-filled office here at B'nai, they enjoy petting other peoples dogs and exploring Denver's awesome art scene.

A light nosh will be served.

We hope you will join us for this and future programs which are scheduled monthly, at the same time on the fourth Thursday of the month.
