Lunch & Learn: Yiddish Short Stories with Debbie Goodman

Wednesday, February 3, 2021 21 Sh'vat 5781

12:00 PM - 1:00 PMZoom

We will discuss two short stories, On Account of a Hat, by Shalom Aleichem and Bontsha the Silent,  by I. L. Peretz.

The links to both stories are below (click on story title).  Both of the stories are very short, so please try to read them before the session.  These stories reflect some important ideas that are common in Yiddish literature, and also reflect some of the realities of day to day life in Eastern European communities in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Please register below. Once registered you will receive a link to join us on Zoom.

If you would like our office to print the stories and send them to you or email you the stories, please let us know at 303-388-4441/
