The Shabbat that falls before or on Tu B'Shevat is called Shabbat Shira (Shabbat of Song) because the week’s parsha B’shalach, includes the song the Israelites sang after they crossed the Reed Sea. 

This is also the Shabbat before Martin Luther King Jr. day, making this a very special day!

The service includes a Prayer for Healing and Mourner's Kaddish. Virtual kiddush and Motzi (blessings for wine/grape juice and challah) will follow the service, along with shared memories from folks observing a yahrzeit.
