10:00 AM - 11:30 AMObservatory Park, 2184 S Milwaukee St - north of Warren and the Chamberlin Observatory Denver 80210 / Join in person or virtuallyJoin B'nai Havurah for our first outdoor gathering of the summer -- a special Shabbat service honoring Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S.
Cantorial Ritual Director Hal Aqua will lead us in lively songs and prayers and a discussion about what kinds of slavery still keep us bound, and the work we need to do to move toward true freedom. The service will include a special "Kaddish for Black Lives" written by the Jewish Multiracial Network.
The service will include a healing prayer and an opportunity to recite the Mourners Kaddish.
A light kiddush lunch will be provided. Contact Becky Epstein if you would like to sponsor the kiddush in honor of a loved one, to celebrate a graduation, birthday, or anything else!
