Kabbalat Shabbat Experience: Yiddishkeit Shabbat with Green Team Potluck Dinner

Welcome Shabbat with Rabbi Evette and B'nai Havurah's Kabbalat Shabbat Experience, a music-filled, all-ages celebration on (usually) the fourth Friday night of each month.

At 6:30 pm, Hal Aqua and fellow musicians lead a musical journey through the themes of the Friday night service, followed at 7:30 by candle lighting, Kiddush, and Motzi led by Rabbi Evette. We end the evening with an optional potluck.

It will be delicious! Bring a dish you make (find easy vegan recipes at  forksoverknives.com or bring sides such as pickles, olives, raw vegetables and fruits, hummus, or chips and guacamole. 

*A vegan diet avoids all foods of animal origin, including meat and foods containing animal-derived ingredients such as honey and eggs..


If you'd like to help prepare (and perhaps learn a thing or two)  dishes for this dinner, we have two locations for you, both scheduled on February 28 from 10:00 am - noon.

  • Lorrie Tishler's home close to B'nai Havurah
    Green Team members Deb Aal and Lorrie Tishler will lead a cooking session making Kasha Varnishkas, Splendid Chopped Liver and Curried Lentils at Lorrie's house, near B'nai. To reserve a spot for cooking (and noshing!), please email Lorrie at lorrie_edits@yahoo.com or call her at 720-391-9699.
  • Liz Evans Berkley home (close to the Highlands)
    Green Team member Liz Evans will be baking Vegan Chocolate Cake at her home in the Highlands. To reserve your place at that session, email her at ee4952@gmail.com or call her at 303-458-5137
