Events

B'nai Havurah is a community where members may find opportunities to connect at events both on and offsite.

Almost 65% of our membership are in havurot whose activities usually - but not always - take place at members' homes. For example, several havurot have annual seders at B'nai Havurah and one of our havurot is the building crew that ensures the 7th graders correctly erect our sukkah! Another havurah handles the weeding of the garden.

Our adult education programs are most often held at our facility, although book club, for example, is hosted by different members. Enjoy films, folkdancing, Hebrew, Jewish study and more! Please visit the education page for current class listings.

The on-site Shabbat Alive! series which takes place quarterly is a program which offers a variety of mini-classes, worship forums and workshops all in the space of a few hours.

Special events are planned for various festivals and when we have the opportunity to have a guest speaker at Shabbat services.

Our Summer Institute weekend retreats in the mountains have long been a community-building, fun time away from the city.
