In this 5-session class we’ll look at Israel’s cultural development through the kaleido- scope of popular Israeli music. We’ll see different approaches to serving in the army, desire for peace, for a girlfriend, for a family. We’ll look at the use of metaphor and language. Israeli pop music is sung in the same language as our Torah, making the lyrics fascinating in and of themselves. Add melody and rhythm and the message really takes on life. Register below, please.
