Hebrew-in-a-Day MARATHON with Rabbi Evette

Sunday, December 11, 2016 11 Kislev 5777

9:30 AM - 4:00 PMLocation to be determined

Ever wanted to learn to read Hebrew, but thought it was just too difficult? Perhaps you’ve tried before without success? The Hebrew in a Day Marathon is the solution; it virtually guarantees success. The goal of the course is to create Hebrew readers from scratch. No previous experience required!

By the end of the Marathon students will:

  • learn the basics of Hebrew reading, from Alef to Tav!
  • be able to read 180 important Hebrew words!
  • have a positive, joyful relationship with the language of our heritage!

How it works: Prior to the Marathon you will be given a list of words to review, the Vocabulary of Jewish Life (VJL) — words already in your Jewish vocabulary, written with English letters. On the day of the Marathon you will use the VJL and the workbook While Standing On One Foot, to help you learn to read those same words written with Hebrew letters!
