The Flat, an Israeli-German co-production from 2011, was released in Israel and played continu- ously for 13 months, receiving rave reviews. The film opens as the director, Arnon Goldfinger, and his family are gathered in the Tel Aviv apartment of his mother’s mother, Gerda Tuchler, to clear out the contents after her death. It is not long, however, before Goldfinger finds various items in his grandmother’s house that reveal an astonishing chapter in the family’s history that had been hidden for decades.

We will have a snack at 6:30. The movie begins at 7:00 pm, with a discussion to follow. Registration requested below. No cost for members; $5 for non-members.
