Elementary Hebrew: Aleph Isn’t Tough

Past Sessions
Wednesday, January 7, 2015 16 Tevet 5775 - 7:00 PM - B'nai Havurah
Wednesday, December 3, 2014 11 Kislev 5775 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Introductory class

Learn to read Hebrew and be comfortable with the prayer book in twelve sessions. Our textbook for the class, Aleph Isn’t Tough, is a 10-lesson course, with a catch-up session after lesson 5 and lesson 10 so no one will be left behind. With a bit of practice at home you will read Hebrew, know some basic Hebrew vocabulary, understand Hebrew roots and a bit of grammar, and be familiar with a lot of pieces of the liturgy.

If you are contemplating studying for adult B'nai Mitzvah and have no Hebrew skills, this class is a great way to prepare!  The class will be offered on Wednesday evenings, for 12 sessions, beginning on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, WITH AN ADDITIONAL INTRODUCTORY SESSION on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, in which you'll be introduced to the book, the alphabet, and resources you can make use of during the winter holidays.

Please register below by December 1. Questions?  Please contact adult education chair Felice Morel at fkmorel@pcisys.net.

Instructor: Rivka Schwab, B’nai Havurah member and fluent Hebrew speaker.
